Happy New Year's Eve, everyone!
See you in 2023! Have a nice time with friends and family!
Every time when I think that things are bad in my own country (and they are), I only have to look across the channel to realise how lucky I am still:
A pro-life volunteer has been arrested and charged after silently praying outside an abortion facility in Birmingham, U.K.
Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the director of March for Life UK, was arrested on Dec. 6 and charged on Dec. 15 with four counts of breaking a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).
A PSPO is intended to stop antisocial behavior. Police were responding to a complaint from a member of the public who believed that Vaughan-Spruce was praying silently.
As part of her bail conditions, restrictions have been placed on her participating in public prayer.
Sharia law at this point would probably be an improvement, they would force you to pay Jizya but I have never heard that they investigate thought crimes.
Vaughan-Spruce was carrying no placards or signs. After her arrest, she was shown pictures of herself quietly standing in the vicinity of the abortion clinic in Kings Norton, Birmingham.
It reminds me a story I heard once of a lady who said she felt attacked by another (Christian) lady for her choices even though the latter didn't so much as say a word. "By the way she looked at me", claimed the lady, "I knew she disagreed!"
She had been spotted near the clinic three times, and when asked about these occasions, she explained that she might have been praying, but she may also have been thinking about other things. Her thoughts, she explained, were all peaceful and not worthy of being criminalized.
Her actual defence was to deny she had been praying (!) and to state that her thoughts were peaceful. Because in England you can now be prosecuted for wrong thoughts, apparently!
There is this discussion about death penalty going on in right-wing circles. Theoretically, I'm all for it. Practically, I'm glad it's been abolished in Europe. Because guess who would get it?
Britain, not even once!
P.S. From another article on the same site:
The Council of Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole in southern England
has drawn red lines around an abortion provider and designated the area a
“safe zone.” Anyone caught crossing themselves, reciting Scripture, or
sprinkling holy water behind these red lines can be fined £100 (about
$113) or risk a court conviction.
Demons really hate it, I guess...
I'd like to put a disclaimer first. These are just my personal thoughts on the issue, so feel free to disagree. I also don't address anyone personally, we all live in this present day and age and compromise to some degree.
Now, when someone writes an article about female modesty, he usually will point out how the half-dressed women provoke lust in men which inevitably leads to the discussion of how much flesh shown is too much and whether we should teach our sons better self-control instead of teaching our daughters to dress decently.
But as far as I can remember, nobody ever mentioned another aspect of it. What if the Scriptures commands modesty not for the sake of men, or rather, not for their sake only?
Let me explain. There is the famous passage in the NT about women covering their heads in church:
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
Here is what John Gill writes about it in his Bible comments:
F5 understands them of evil angels, and that a woman should cover her head in time of worship, lest they should lust after her; though much rather the reason should be, lest they should irritate and provoke lust in others: but it is better to understand them of good angels, who attend the assemblies of the saints, and observe the air and behaviour of the worshippers; wherefore women should cover their heads with respect to them, and not give offence to those pure spirits, by an indecent appearance...
What if the first interpretation is the correct one? Remember Gen 6 and the story of Nephilim?
So here is my theory. What if female immodesty attracts evil angels and spirits? What if when it becomes generally acceptable in a society that the majority of women run around in what looks like underwear of the times past this society experiences a higher level of demonic activity and rapidly deteriorates? Isn't it what we are witnessing in the West right now? Just compare our modern culture (lack of it) with the early 20th century when most women were covered from head to toes?
If this is the case, then dressing modestly is also very important for the well-being of the woman herself, so that she doesn't attract evil in her own life. She should try and cover herself not so much for men, but first, to preserve her own well-being and second, that of the country as a whole?
Please don't throw stones at me, it's just a theory. However, as they say, sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry!
Or, as someone on Twitter called it, Soygon:
Twitter on Thursday evening began purging reporters from major media outlets, just one day after new owner Elon Musk changed the platform's "anti-doxxing" policy in response to a "crazy stalker" who climbed on the hood of a car carrying his two-year-old son.
Those kicked off the platform include:
Let's find out!
People online like talking about how everyone is suffering from shortage of s8x, especially in the Western world, so I got curious and did some research on the topic.
First, what is regular s8x? It's usually defined as at least, once a week (not 3 times a day as some guy put it, which is also pretty much impossible for any man older than 30 with kids and a regular job).
There exists a research on the percentage of people having s8x weekly in different countries, here is the link.
According to it, Greeks are the most s8xually active, with 87% doing the deed weekly, while Americans are, indeed, at the bottom of the list with measly 53%, right there with Nigeria (but don't go to Japan as it's only 34%!)
Yet, strangely, the very 1st article I linked states that
another study, printed in The University of Chicago Press about 10 years ago, stated that married couples are having sex about seven times a month, which is a little less than twice a week.
So I wonder if the difference could be attributed to married couples vs singles in the USA? Which means that contrary to what some men say, married folks are still enjoying it quite regularly!
They didn't even look per week, but per 4 weeks and India is below 50%, as you can see, with the good folks of Afghanistan being well, the most active in this area.
All the countries in this diagram are quite conservative, with little premarital s8x and what could be described as a traditional marriage yet they aren't exactly obsessed with it, as you can see. The report even says that Indians have s*x quite frequently which is a funny way to describe something which happens less than once a month for the majority of people.
Which begs the question, is there really any form of crisis in the West or is it another 1st world problem? After all, we don't hear Gambians complain...
Which one (apart from Flat Earth) is the most ridiculous conspiracy in your point of view? For me it's that Michelle Obama (or any other masculine looking woman for that matter) is a man.
I simply don't believe it! What about you?
Indonesia's parliament is expected to pass a new criminal code this month that will penalise sex outside marriage with a punishment of up to one year in jail, officials have confirmed...
...business sector representatives say the draft code sends the wrong message about Southeast Asia's largest economy...
Clauses related to morality, she added, would "do more harm than good", especially for businesses engaged in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
The changes to the code would be a "huge a setback to Indonesian democracy", said Andreas Harsono of Human Rights Watch.Among other things prohibited are abortion except in case of rape and black magic.
Still thinking they are good guys?
...the bible contains other material recognising slavery (Exodus 21:7), the death sentence (Exodus 35:2 and Leviticus 24:16) and cannibalism (Deuteronomy 28:27),” the prosecutors asserted — sloppily, as it turns out, as Deuteronomy 28:27 actually makes no reference to cannibalism.
“There are references in the bible which are simply no longer appropriate in modern society and which would be deemed offensive if stated in public,” the CPS insisted.
“The suggestion by the Crown that there are parts of the Bible ‘which are simply no longer appropriate in modern society and which would be deemed offensive if stated in public’, is one that if accepted would have significant constitutional implications,”...
UMC and higher folks love to engage in what became known as virtue-signalling. In my language, they are simply called "virtue people" and they look down at those unenlightened peasants who dare disagree with the current year narrative whatever it may be. But are they really that virtuous?
Here is one example:
(strangely, the article doesn't open in every browser)
First, Margaret Trudeau, Pierre Trudeau, and Fidel Castro were all notoriously sexually promiscuous. Margaret Trudeau was a partier who unquestionably had sex with men while married to Pierre. Nobody knows if Pierre objected. They met when he was 48 and she was 18. They got married when he was 53 and she was 23. Their marriage surprised Canada because Pierre had been a lifelong playboy with no wife or children. He would be turning 60 when she was barely out of her 20’s. She publicly states today she suffered from bipolar disorder and self-control issues. She smuggled drugs in the Prime Minister’s official government luggage. She sneaked away from official functions to get high. She partied scantily clad at Studio 54. She became embroiled in a scandal for having sex with Ted Kennedy (gross). According to Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones, Pierre broke up with her while she was having an affair with Ronnie Wood. The list goes on.
Pierre Trudeau slept around too.
Now I don't know who was whose son in reality but do these people strike you as having any kind of morality? Pierre Trudeau was The Canadian Prime Minister, btw...
It's just one example. I remember watching a British TV program featuring some of these wonderful British aristocrats. The castle owner himself Marquis this and that who was in his 70s lived together with his mistress who was in her early 40s while his lawful wife resided abroad. After she produced a couple of boys they separated and since that time he lived with his "wifelets" as he called them, which were very numerous when he was younger but being an older man he finally settled with one of them.
His heir married an African heiress for her money. Her mom was a British gal who travelled to an African country and jumped in bed with a wealthy married Black guy who had children from his legal wife but had the decency to acknowledge his illegitimate daughter and provide her with an ample dowry.
The Lord this and that his first child was a daughter and then suddenly his wife couldn't have children any more so they turned to a surrogate and got a fully white boy who became the heir of the title and estate. Modern IVF industry can really perform miracles such as turning black into white, I guess:)
These people have the nerve to talk about virtue...
The question is purely rhetorical, of course, since any society will have a ruling elite, that's just the way things are.
The real question is who the members of elite are going to be. In Europe in Middle Ages, the upper class consisted chiefly of warrior aristocracy, the male representatives of which were supposed to fight for the interests of the king and country and as such, had special privileges. It's no doubt that many of them nowadays would be described as a sociopath/psychopath, their equivalent nowadays would be elite mercenaries de-facto ruling the country.
This old European aristocracy blended with rising bourgeoisie later on the way as capitalism starting developing. In some countries, you got various revolutions which chiefly swept this particular category of people away, while many other European countries kept the monarchy intact but undertook some reforms and are currently trying to pretend they are shining examples of democracy.
The truth is, the upper class became much more caste-like, secretive and insulated than even in medieval times, where you could get inheritable nobility bestowed on you for your service provided to your country while nowadays the only way to join them is either to be born in one of these families or become obscenely rich and marry into one.
And when you start looking closely at who is occupying all the positions of importance, there are still these people around. They have dropped the old "noblesse oblige" principle and are cheerfully screwing their lessers on the behalf of the international financial elites. A funny thing is that in places like UK, they keep promoting themselves by making countless TV series and movies about themselves, like Downton Abbey which are especially popular in the USA, the country which fought a revolution to get free from the British Crown, of all places.
I honestly don't get this obsession with (British) upper classes. When you look at the consequences of their current rule, the government of elite mercs would probably be an improvement...
‘Scream groups’ are forming across the world, where women gather in parks and public places to release their frustrations
I don't really know about "across the world", here most women are still sane, lol!
The responses poured in. “I want to scream because of climate change and economic inequality,” one woman wrote. “Because of real estate agents and landlords,” said another. “My fiancé decided he didn’t love me anymore,” read one reply. Miller said she received more than 100 messages in the first hour.
Most are drawn to the idea of unleashing their anger without inhibition. It’s a freedom participants say is hard to find in a world that can be uncomfortable with women’s rage.
Because men's rage is encouraged, especially in the Anglosphere. Guardian is soo 1970s...
“Women want to scream,” Miller explains.
Not all women, only basket cases.
“After the week of hell I’ve had I need a good scream!” Maryanne Lia, 45, a self-described “screamstress” and mother of four, jokes to the dozen strangers gathered in the park. A chorus of chuckles and smiles nod back in agreement.
Having children does not automatically guarantee sanity apparently, when you can't raise them properly.
“I feel like a little bit of magic just happened,” Miller says as the group lies back on the grass, staring at the stars.
In less enlightened times, they used to call it witchcraft...
“It felt good to be able to be out of control,” one participant said of the event. Another said: “It’s the closest I have come to finding a coven.”
They admit it, too!
That's what liberalism is really all about, as if we didn't know:)
Back in Sydney, Lia shares similar sentiments about what it means to be female and furious in a world that has largely placed limits on women’s anger.
Women women women women, people are dying in wars and terror attacks, there is an economical crisis happening right now but all we hear about is how women are supposedly oppressed in the West. Talk about self-centeredness.
“There’s an actual proper rage and women don’t get to express it. Where can you release that? Where can you scream?
These supposedly adult females who unfortunately got voting rights simply want to throw tantrums and be applauded for being "stunning and brave" while doing it.
Women have experienced additional stresses with work, family and social demands over the past few years, Dr Yates adds.
Whose fault is it? All these feminists insist they have to work, so I have exactly zero sympathy.
Here is a suggestion. When I was a little girl and was throwing a tantrum my mom always suggested instead of screaming I should bang my head on the wall instead. Of course, I never did, but some of these women may like the idea, who knows? After all,
For a brief moment our inhibitions are forgotten
P.S. Maybe it's not really their fault, poor dears
“You can’t scream at your boss, you can’t scream at your children.
In my country, you are still allowed to scream at your children without getting arrested:)
She's had enough of feminism. Honestly, as a woman I have always been disgusted by the "female warrior" trope to such a degree that I simply refuse to watch anything with it. It's mostly nerdy men who watch this type of movies anyway so all these kick-a88 babes are put there to cater to their tastes. When a guy totally lacks masculinity himself the thought of a strong independent womyn who will take care of him like mommy rather than vice versa must be very attractive. I guess that's what "gamma male" is all about.
She is right that men are simply being erased from the screen and it's only getting worse. Compare the original LOTR trilogy. There is a bit of feminism demonstrated by Arwen (Eowyn going to battle was in the book) but that's it. In "Hobbit" we get the ridiculous female elf warrior Tauriel which was not in the original story (there is not ONE female in the whole book as it was clearly written for boys) but she is still only a minor character. Yet the recent Amazon production has Galadriel the warrior queen as its main protagonist.
Star Wars idem ditto. Now Wakanda. They can't invent anything new really so they just take an old movie and remake it with all female leads. Indiana Jones is going to be a girl, too, btw. Boy am I glad I don't watch this drivel any more...
This is a good one by VD:
If your life sucks and you simply can’t see any way out, instead of ending it, why not make that radical change that has always fascinated you but struck you as completely impossible? Why not imagine that your present life is over, so now you’ve got the chance to live one of the other lives that you would have lived if you had nine of them?
Before you reach for another cocktail, consider this. Binge drinking is to blame for 20% of the deaths of American adults between the ages of 20 and 49 over a recent four-year period, a new study found...
Researchers examined national and state mortality data from 2015-19, noting that deaths fully attributable to alcohol have risen in the past decade.
As Western society continues disintegrating, expect to see more of this.
I mean WTF?
Michigan will become the next state to legalzie abortions up to birth after voters approved the dangerous and radical Proposition 3 to would elimiate every single pro-life law in the state, including parental consent.
Of course, there is talk about buying votes and stuff:
The 55-45 result in favor of the pro-abortion amendment was not surprising given the millions of dollars leftist billionaires pooured into the state to buy votes with false and misleading television commercials that lied about the effects of the measure. Rich, elite billionaires from New York and the Bahamas flooded the airwaves with ads that confused voters and made the measure seem as if it was just supporting health care for women.
I'm sorry but I just see it as cope at this point. If the voters are so stupid that you can mislead them with TV commercials, should they be allowed to vote at all?
You can't always blame the MSM, rich elites, Soros etc.
...billionaires George Soros and Michael Bloomberg, who frequently donate
to leftist political causes, have poured millions of dollars into
Michigan to pass Proposal 3.
There is also such thing as personal responsibility. Voters aren't small kids and shouldn't be treated as such. The problem with right-wingers is that they tend to live in a bubble and communicate chiefly with like-minded people and they simply can't accept the fact that many of their countrymen support things they themselves see as evil.
For anyone who voted for abortion up to birth, I wonder they can sleep at night or look in the mirror...
My guinea pig died this weekend. It was a very special guinea pig as she became 8 years 1 month old. Internet says they normally live 4 to 8 years but mine all died between 2 and 3 years of age, except this one.
In September she got a bladder infection which we treated with antibiotics, she survived but was still very weak. Yet last week she started eating and drinking better and could walk better, too.
Saturday before we left for the camping, I gave her a piece of an apple, a kiwi peel and a slice of cucumber and she ate it all and was happy. Yesterday, when we came home in the evening, she lay dead in her cage.
We had to take the car and drive to the forest and dig a grave and we buried her by the road in perfect darkness with the rain pouring down all the time.
She had a good life and I hope she can rest now as she was really getting very old and frail...
I'm sure most of you heard that Christians supposedly divorce as much as non-believers? Today I even read something worse, as an argument against Christian religion, namely, that Christians divorce more than secular people.
Is it actually true? Let's find out:
Dr. Brad Wilcox, director of the National Marriage Project, states that “‘active conservative protestants who attend church regularly are actually 35% less likely to divorce than those who have no religious preferences”...
...there’s definite good news regarding divorce rates and Christians:
contrary to what’s been reported for years, the divorce rate is not
50 percent; it’s more like 30 percent. And then we find that people who
keep God at the center of their home and family stay married at far
greater rates, and even thrive within those marriages. One of the
reasons for this is that those whose first commitment is to the lordship
of Jesus put fewer expectations upon their spouses to meet emotional
needs that only God can meet. The lessening of unrealistic expectations gives marriages a stronger foundation upon which to withstand difficult times.
Of course, ideally the divorce rates among professing Christians should be really close to 0%. But, going to church definitely helps!
Is there someone out there who is still reading him? In the last couple of years he appears to have changed from some sort of a red pill Christian into a religious fanatic who keeps banning people left and right for a slightest disagreement and is deep down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories (viruses and infection diseases don't exist, anyone?)
He is probably on the path of becoming a monk in some strict monastic order. This whole corona stuff has pushed lots of people over the edge, imo. Thoughts?
I try to eat some sort of a pesco-Mediterranean diet, so previously I posted about my "fish" day (I mostly eat fish 3 times a week). This is one of my vegetarian days.
Hot water with lemon, honey and curcuma, 1.5% kefir, cooked buckwheat with strawberry jam, knackebrod with olive oil and cheese and fruit (the dark one is a plum)
Lunch: water, cut cucumber, 2 slices of home-baked bread, 1 with hummus, sweet chili sauce, spring onions and white cheese, the other one with butter and apple butter
Normally I also drink a cup of chicory coffee, but that day (last Thursday) I was expecting a visitor so I drank a cup with her, together with a home-baked chocolate muffin.
White long grain rice, ground walnuts, a hard-boiled egg, Brussels sprouts and red lentils puree
The dessert was 1.5% plain yogurt with flax-seeds, sunflower seeds and strawberry jam (I really like it:)
In the evening we drank red-bush tea with muffins. Normally they should be served with a sweet chocolate sauce but I haven't made it so I decided that strawberry jam would do fine instead:)
That was about it.
This one from VD is really good:
If you’re intellectually fulfilled by sitting in an office or a classroom, you’re literally retarded.
I mean how often have you heard that housewives/SAHM are intellectually stunted? I remember reading a discussion where a woman said that while being on maternity leave, she missed intellectual discussions with her colleagues at work. About freaking Harry Potter:)
Fires top executives. I kinda like that guy:)
TECH billionaire Elon Musk has officially taken over Twitter and reportedly fired several top executives after a fraught $44bn deal was finally secured.
The Tesla chief tweeted that "the bird is freed" referencing the company's iconic logo after finally closing the deal following months of legal wrangling.
This is funny:
"We understand this is a civil suit, but Alex Jones is so uniquely evil we decided pursuing the death penalty in this case was appropriate," said a lawyer representing the plaintiffs. "The jury also ruled that Jones must pay a sum of infinity dollars, which is good because our legal fee was eleventy-trillion-thousand dollars."
A true story.
There was once a girl whose boyfriend was a skateboarder. Once he took her to a skatepark to show off a bit. She being
very unreasonable strong and independent, decided in her turn, to demonstrate her own girl power, though she had never stood on a skateboard before (!)
The result: a leg broken in 2 places, several operations, a rehabilitation route of more than 1 year, lots of pain and probably lame for life.
Parents, please teach your daughters common sense instead of moxie!
Someone gave me a so-called "Christian" mag which among other heresies and blasphemies, had this article about how David was "a rapist". They supposedly had a conversation about it with a Turk, who (correctly) pointed out that David raped no one and said there must be a mistake in the Bible. Of course, there is no mistake in the Bible, it's just a feminist interpretation.
You see, on the one hand, wymyn are strong and independent and kick 8ss, while, on the other hand, they are eternal victims who just go along with anything done to them without so much as trying to protest:
Scripturally, of course, there’s no case to be made that David raped Bathsheba. The Bible has no problem describing rape when rape is actually part of the story, as we can see literally one chapter after Nathan rebukes David. Instead, they have to base the allegation on feminist theories about uneven power dynamics...
It gets pretty absurd applying that kind of reasoning to David. For one thing, it would mean that he was raping all of his wives. He was just as much their king as he was Bathsheba’s and held as much or more power over them. And that means that God explicitly condones rape, for when Nathan is rebuking David, God says “I gave you your master’s house and your master’s wives into your arms.” How much power do you think David’s harem had in the matter?
Granted, the article isn't an example from an actual sermon, but from "lying media" but the fact that there are those among us who profess the name of Christ and still read and listen to this garbage and absorb it, is troubling in itself.
So to many conservatives, giving credence to the David-raped-Bathsheba nonsense seems tolerable for the sake of an easy “win.” They have a rare opportunity to virtue-signal how they really do care about women despite what those evil liberals say. Too many are therefore willing to be tolerant of something they know isn’t really true. Here’s what conservatives need to drive into their skulls: There is no common ground between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of Hell.
I fully agree with this guy's conclusion. Stop seeking common ground with those who hate you and your religion and want to destroy you.
...feminist theory is utterly incompatible with Christianity
One couldn't express it any better, imo.
A British historian who wrote a book revealing Lord Mountbatten’s “weakness for underage men” has welcomed the news that a former resident of the Kincora Boy’s Home has waived his anonymity to make allegations of rape and sexual abuse against the earl as part of a civil action lodged in a Belfast court.
Arthur Smyth, who was at Kincora in the 1970s as a child, alleges that he was abused twice in 1977 by Mountbatten, and that other minors from the home were also abused by the earl. He says that the trauma led him to feel suicidal and that he later tried to end his life, ramming his bike into oncoming traffic.
“I am delighted that Arthur Smyth has gone public,” Andrew Lownie, an author and literary agent who has fought a long-running, costly battle to have full access to Mountbatten’s papers, told The Telegraph.
“It further backs up the claims of the two victims I interviewed who were abused in 1977 and confirms that the claims of paedophilia against Mountbatten in the FBI files can be taken seriously,” he said.
He also said that the Gardai should release the logs of Mountbatten’s movements at the time the abuse was alleged to have taken place.
Mountbatten was a great uncle of Britain’s King Charles, and a high-profile member of the British Royal family. Rumours of paedophilia have followed the earl for decades.
Read the rest over here.
Our camping is in a heavily Catholic part of the country. A couple weeks ago they had an open air church sermon in the village so we went to watch. The average age of those who attended was 65+ and that of the priest, idem ditto.
He was telling his audience how he had just visited a special conference for R.K. priests in Italy and how he hoped that "women soon would be allowed to become priests, too!". At that point, we left.
The we went to Rotterdam on some business and decided to take a look at a Serbian Orthodox Church. The building used to be a Catholic church once but it had to be sold because there were not enough parishioners over there. Catholic churches are going empty, I wonder why?
The sermon was well attended, about 200 people. Average age, 30+. Many children. The Catholic women in the village were all dressed in a boomer uniform of baggy pants and had short hair. Ortho ladies, both young and old, many were wearing long dresses and had headcoverings.
The big mistake of the Catholic Church in the West is to try to go with the flow and telling people what they expect to hear, instead of what God teaches us. Boomers, men and, especially women, are heavily feminist, but the priest must surely know that the R.K. Church will never allow female clergy, so he is probably just saying it to attract more people, which is quite cynical if you think of it.
In general, this illustrates the point I have been trying to make. Most Westerners of both sexes accept feminism to the point of religious people denying their own Scriptures and Church teachings in order not to hurt (some) women's feelings. Until the Western man will find his 8888s and say, "no", it just will continue the way it is.
You can blame the media, the certain people etc, but somehow the Easterners who live among us are chiefly immune to this nonsense. So may be, it's time for us to take responsibility for our own mistakes?
I really like his blog:
Very tellingly, however, most would-be female teachers ignore the places where God explicitly instructs women to teach. According to Titus 2, “[Older women] are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” You say you are called to teach in the Church? Very well, God has just explicitly assigned you both your students and your curriculum! What greater and more God-pleasing work could you ask for than for what He’s specifically set aside for you to do?
It's not women who are to blame:
Sharply rising cases of some sexually transmitted diseases, including a 26% rise in new syphilis infections reported last year, are prompting US health officials to call for new prevention and treatment efforts...
Syphilis is a bacterial disease that surfaces as genital sores but can ultimately lead to severe symptoms and death if left untreated. New syphilis infections plummeted in the US starting in the 1940s when antibiotics became widely available. They fell to their lowest ever by 1998, when fewer than 7,000 new cases were reported nationwide. The CDC was so encouraged by the progress it launched a plan to eliminate syphilis in the US.
But, by 2002, cases began rising again, largely among gay and bisexual men, and they kept going. In late 2013, CDC ended its elimination campaign in the face of limited funding and escalating cases, which that year surpassed 17,000.
By 2020, cases had reached nearly 41,700 and they rose even further last year, to more than 52,000.
The rate of cases has been rising, too, hitting about 16 per 100,000 people last year. That’s the highest in three decades.
Rates are highest in men who have sex with men, and among Black and Latinos and Native Americans.
Long live s8x, drugs, and rock-n-roll, I guess...
Here is one example:
She does worry about inflation just as many of my readers. Well, according to VD (not that I agree with him on everything, mind you!) it won't cause inflation, but rather vice versa:
Most money is debt and it comes from nowhere. It is not printed by the government, it is literally created from nothing when a loan is taken out. This is inflationary. When a loan is cancelled, forgiven, or written off, the debt literally vanishes. This is deflationary, since it reduces the amount of money in the economy.
If the loan is paid off, either by the debtor or by a third party, then no money leaves or enters the system. It is a neutral action. If interest is paid on the loan, this is mildly inflationary but trivial at current interest rates.
I read lots of discussions on this topic, on Gab and otherwise. Those who can't pay their loans are often called freeloaders and worse who don't bother to work and prefer to scrounge off the system. Yet, many of them have been working and paying for years but can't keep up with interest, as this lady mentions in the comments on the vid above:
Been watching my mom struggle to pay her student loans down for 27 years. Been trying to pay mine down for 7. The interest is what gets people. It is an incredibly predatory system.
I'm sorry but does it sound like a normal situation to you? I remember one guy on Gab said that he signed for interest free loans which then were transferred to another company and suddenly he had huge interest. Usury is literally a sin in Christian religion, something many modern Christians seem to have forgotten.
Again, to quote Vox:
Don’t forget the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant either.
Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
He is quite passionate on the subject and I will admit it's him who persuaded me it is a good thing, though I don't share his hatred of the Boomers. He is right to attack what he perceives as "conservatives' egoism" though:
All right, I’m exaggerating. We didn’t actually pay for school. Our daddies did. See, that right there, that’s grit, that’s what that is. The Boomers are right. Just stop whining and do what I did. It wasn’t hard at all.
But it’s still unfair! How will WE benefit from a student loan debt jubilee? Why isn’t anyone thinking about ME and MY compensation? I mean, how can I possibly benefit from the housing market not completely collapsing because 45 million of the most educated people in America can’t qualify for a mortgage? What good is it to me if 45 million people suddenly have the ability to save money for the first time in their lives? I mean, it’s not as if savings = investment, or that I is a core component of Gross Domestic Product, right?

I find it interesting that many of these Gab users who are so vehemently against government handouts to the poor hardly say anything when it's the banks, big corps or foreign countries who are beneficiaries (though it has been changing lately). They also will decry men like Soros using their money to interfere with politics but will support tax cuts for the super-rich to the death. Where is logic in all that?
An interesting article.
In general, I agree with the conclusion: it's morally wrong, but there are always exceptions. As a Protestant, I just keep wondering about one thing. How comes that Catholic countries, such as pre-revolutionary France punished bigamy with death, while prostitution was openly practiced. When you read the Bible, one of these things is always described as a grave moral evil, and it's not polygamy...
What do you think of the stories about otherwise healthy folks dropping dead apparently due to Covid vaxx? I know many people who got vaccinated, some took boosters as well. I've heard about side effects, even serious ones. But, nobody died so far.
So I naturally tend to distrust such info. What about you? Feel free to share!
I wanted to write a long post originally, but then decided I'd just give you a couple of examples based on what I've seen irl, details somewhat changed, obviously.
A guy goes on vacation and picks up a divorced single mom who is cute and very easy. Somehow she gets pregnant and he takes her and the kid back home. He doesn't actually know much about her and her character besides that she's good in bed (or so he thinks). He later finds out that she is lazy, low class, entitled and has substance abuse problems.
Case 2. A good Christian girl keeps herself for marriage and doesn't date much. She meets a guy who is also a believer from a decent Christian middle class family and falls in love. The family wine and dine her and that makes her blind to the fact that the guy in question is a school dropout, can't hold a job and gets a burnout the moment he has to exert himself. After the wedding she finds out that he expects her to keep working even after the children come, prefers to work part-time himself but won't lift a finger to help with the housework.
Case 3. A Christian guy meets a Christian girl who is pretty, good-natured and a virgin. He marries her and then finds out that she has a princess complex, doesn't cook, doesn't clean but has a taste for luxury.
Add to these an example of a guy who is an eternal student because he doesn't want to work and gets pain in his head/back from working a normal working week, a party girl who had like 100 men in her bed but is now "reformed" and wishes for a good Christian husband (but still likes to party), a guy who is 30 but expects his parents to take care of him and a girl who says she doesn't want children because her career is more important.
I could go on, but I think you get my point. If you wish to have a good marriage and a normal family life avoid these types like the plague. Let them marry each other...
"The best way to control opposition is to lead it."
I may be mistaken, of course, we'll see.
All these so-called "conservatives" salivating in comments on Gab and Twitter about the "first woman ever to lead in Italy (and she is much hotter than Hilary and totally "right wing") are seriously pathetic, though. Guys, why are you such simps? Is it an American thing or something?
There is nothing traditional about any of this.
One can only hope:)
Prince Harry will be permanently exiled by King Charles, as the royal family plans to follow the playbook drawn up to overcome a crisis triggered in 1936, when Edward VIII abdicated and was obliged to live the rest of his life outside the UK, according to the Daily Beast.
Boomers may often be clueless, and they are the first generation who normalised abortion, no-fault divorce and working mothers. They often support white knighting, third world immigration (as long as it is legal!) and like talking about boot straps. Younger generations may find them egoistic and irritating. I get all this.
But as Christians, we are supposed to treat older people with respect, as our own parents, and have compassion for their weaknesses. We aren't supposed to hate on them and make jokes about killing them (the day of the pillow or whatever the heck they call it). In my opinion, such jokes are in very poor taste and I'd like to remind the fellow GenX-ers (and it's mostly them, with a couple of Millennials) that we are also getting older by the day and it soon will be our turn.
There is nothing "traditionally Christian" about it at all. The reason I'm writing about it is because I often see this type of discussions on Gab where Boomer hate minute is held practically every day.
Also, it's not your (Boomer) parents' duty to babysit your children, especially if they took the trouble to raise you normally, with mother staying home and all that. You owe them a duty as a child to take care of them in their old age, not vice versa. Too many young people seem to forget it...
The thing is, people are wising up to the fact that even if the GOP wins every race and takes a 435–0 majority in the House, nothing changes. Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy will slither over to the White House with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to swear off partisanship. The lesson of the election, they will tell us, is that the people want the parties to cooperate, with the Democrats getting everything they want.
This time, it's men who are victims:
Only this complete upheaval of traditional gender dynamics could allow high-achieving women to “sugar baby” for working class men, and without any tangible consequence to the women. Cassie and Lainey’s experience is a microcosm of the broader cultural changes in America over the past few decades. American men, especially working class men, have been left behind with little hope for the “American dream” of a good family and stable job, income, and community. Rather, they self-medicate with drugs, alcohol, porn, and the pseudo-personal relationships offered by girls like Cassie and Lainey.

“I started seeing people with the worst psychosis symptoms that I have ever seen,” she told me. “And the worst delusions I have ever seen.”
These cases were even more acute than what she’d seen from psychotic patients on meth. Some of the delusions were accompanied by “severe violence.” But these patients were coming up positive only for cannabis.

It is a conspiracy theory, right? Also spotted in Germany:
In case you don't read German, it says: Socks out, condom on! Because we can't have ethnic Germans accidentally reproducing, can we? There are immigrants for that...
It's like this summer never ends. We got a temperature spike of +30*C again last weekend. Then it finally started raining! I think last time we had a real rain was somewhere in the beginning of July. Yesterday was the last really warm day, about +25*C but it's still going to be +21/22*C for some time and then? Who knows. Normally I always feel blue when the weather becomes more autumn-like, but I'm not really sorry to see this summer gone. It's still like 24*C in our bedroom...
Here are more vacation pictures for all of you.
