Are 30 Year Old Women Attractive?

Or rather, are they attractive enough for some man out there to marry?

It is an undeniable fact of life that men like younger women. Whether a man is 25 or 75, he'll like a girl of 18. 18 to 21 is physical prime for women just like 30 to 35 is the prime for men. There could be exceptions, but it's just (biological) reality.

It's also true that feminists actively try to deny it and encourage younger women to pursue education, careers and traveling well into their mid30s and even later. On the other hand, there are male internet gurus who correctly criticise this trend as based on a lie but then turn around and promote another pretty lie, namely that older men have a chance with young girls.

In reality, young women prefer young men. Realistically speaking, an average guy of 50 has zero chance with a girl of 18 or 20, unless he is wealthy, very high status etc. There are exceptions to this rule, but still. Heck, when I was 18 even guys at 30 seemed like old men to me. They were adults, I was still a teenager.

This holds true even for countries with arranged marriages:

Muslims have the widest spousal age gap (6.6 years between men and their wives or partners), followed by Hindus (5.6 years), Christians (3.8), Buddhists (2.9), the religiously unaffiliated (2.3) and Jews (2.1).

Notice that this "widest gap" is 6.6 years, not 30.

Sub-Saharan Africa has even bigger age gaps:

Large age gaps are especially common in sub-Saharan Africa, including in Gambia (14.5 years between men and their wives or partners), Guinea (13.5) and Mali (12.9).

Still not 30 or even 20 years though.

A man in his early 40s will probably find a girl of 19 much more attractive than a woman of 30, but does he realistically have any chance? Attractiveness is relative. Both men and women should ditch unrealistic expectations and get down to earth. Neither s8x should wait too long to settle down.

(Of course, it will be different for the divorced folks and widowers/widows).

Oh yes, and a woman at 30 is usually plenty fertile still. There is a reason an average menopause age is 51, not 31.

Thoughts?

  1. Everything you're saying is true, but the reality is that 30-year-old women get married plenty. They truly do. It's a truth that is inconvenient to the red pill desire for schadenfreude against women who went to college or have a colorful past, or just didn't go out with Geeky Greg when she was 22. But it is what it is.

I am 51 years old and I have had men try to pick me up twice in the past year.

There are biological realities, and men absolutely prefer younger women. They do. Younger women are more fertile, more attractive, all the things. I believe the Red pillers used to use the term "younger, hotter, tighter". Is that still a thing?

However a universal truism is that people shop from what available in the market. That includes men.

  2. Yeah, that's the point I was trying to make. I've seen young men hit on women close to 60, because they were available. When I expressed my surprise to my father he told me: "It's not like he is planning to marry her anyway:)" Men are opportunistic like this.

Also, red pill guys who promote the idea that a man can be a player all his life and then settle down in his 50s with a young girl are as delusional as a 39 year old feminist who thinks she is as hot as when she was 22.

Besides, the higher up on the society ladder you are the more you look to other things than only physical attractiveness. Education, family connections etc also play a role.

  3. My husband works with at least two men who are in their early to mid-50s and have very young children, as in age newborn to 7 or 8. Both have wives in their mid to late 30s. Both couples have two kids.

So yeah, a middle aged guy can marry and have kids with a younger woman. She just isn't going to be in her early 20s.

  4. I think most guys in their 50s would be quite happy to get a woman who is in her mid30s. Hence the idea that any woman above 30 "hit the wall" and is a dried up old hag is frankly ridiculous. Heck I know someone in her 70s who is still dating. Twice widow and the guys are in their mid to late 70s. The life doesn't stop at 30.

  5. A couple years ago, I visited a local first cemetery platted in the 1840s not long after the city's original founding. People were buried well into a 100 years later. Anyway, it was quiet enlightening to read the age differences between the men and women on the tombstones that were buried next to each other.

The physical attractiveness is relative. I would prefer a slender and youthful older woman as compared to an obese one that is younger.

  6. I think age difference up to 10+ years is quite normal, especially when the woman marries young and wants to be a homemaker. Few guys under and around 20 are established enough to take care of the family. Anything more like that can work in some cases if you know what I mean:)

Anyway, I do value a man's opinion, thanks

  7. Camilla is older than king Charles, and yet he preferred her over young virgin Di... Just saying.

  8. Now that anonymous has mentioned it, the president of France is a fairly weird deal too. It's one thing for a hormone-flooded teenage boy to have an affair with his teacher. Yet another to marry her when she's middle aged, forgoing your own genetic legacy in the process.

At least Charles bothered to sire a couple of kids before fully engaging his true love.

At the end of the day, I think this speaks more to the dysfunction of our culture, since it truly is becoming increasingly common for younger men to latch on to older women. It's not normative, but it happens enough that most of us have seen it in real life, and that would probably have been unheard of 40 years ago.
