Serves Them Right

A young man from San Francisco launched a controversial civil lawsuit against his parents this morning, demanding $1,857,250 in financial compensation for being raised as a girl and forced to wear feminine clothes for more than 14 years.

The plaintive, 22-year old Chelsea Roberts, alleges that his parents, Brian and Angela Roberts, forced him to wear dresses or skirts every day for years, forced him to behave and identify himself as a girl, and even tried to impose a sex change surgery on him.

In his request, the young man claims his parents’ behavior and the sexual identity they imposed on him have caused severe psychological trauma that will leave lasting scars and necessitate years of therapy.

I hope justice will be served. Some people should not be allowed around children whether their own or someone else's...

Ascension Weekend

It's the Feast of the Ascension today, and it's a long weekend as the kids are free from school for 4 days in a row, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Many parents are free, too, so that yesterday there was a traffic jam of 1000 km the direction of Germany despite rising benzine prices (yet again). They are talking about making the tax even lower but as of now they haven't done it, unfortunately, but it won't keep us home since the last Covid restrictions were abolished some time ago and we are free to visit Germany.

So we are leaving today, first to a Viking festival, then to our camping and then further East...See you all on Sunday, have a blessed Ascension Weekend!

Texas Elementary School Shooting

I was going to post a recipe today, but then read this:

18 Students, 1 Adult Dead

They are now talking about 19 students and 2 adults killed. I'm awfully sorry...

An Anti-Woke Movies Review Site

Someone linked to a new movies and TV shows review site called Right Wing Tomatoes - Filter the woke.

I haven't figured out exactly how it works yet, but in case anyone is interested, here is the link.

Is The Smallpox Back?

It has a cute new name, "monkeypox" and the alphabet people are hardest hit:

Monkeypox Hits Europe

I especially like how the article describes the virus as "mild", with only "1 out 10 people" dying, but actually the new strain is even milder, with less than 1 out of 100% dying, much like the original Wuhan Covid strain, but not really dangerous for anyone who doesn't have a prolonged physical contact with an infected person. I do seriously hope there will be no new lockdowns...

So, The Force Was Real After All???

Scientists are debating a bizarre philosophical theory that everything in the universe has consciousness.

There are two prevalent theories for consciousness – monism and dualism. In monism, generally preferred by scientists, consciousness is believed to be entirely a construct of the physical brain.

While religious people and traditionalists tend towards dualism, the belief consciousness is entirely separate from matter or the human body.

Panpsychism is a third theory which describes consciousness as inherent in all matter; both living and inanimate.

Rather than being borne by the human brain or completely separate from it, consciousness exists in all things, even a chair or rock, and some believe that there is one basic consciousness that exists throughout the universe.

As a "religious person" I don't see any contradiction, when God created the universe why couldn't He have given it some "basic consciousness" as well?

Carbs Aren't Bad For You

Or rather, not all carbs are bad for you:

Potato Diet Challenge

“Make your food boring and your life interesting.” That’s one lesson Andrew Flinders Taylor points out in a Youtube video he posted in December 2016, where he detailed all of the things he learned after eating potatoes for every meal, every single day, for almost a year.

An all-potato diet sounds crazy, but for Taylor, who weighed in at 334 pounds when his experiment began, it led to noticeable results. The Australian native dropped 117 pounds after one year of what he calls his “Spud Fit Challenge.”
