"A Cat Would Be A Better Mother..."

That I believe is what Rhett Butler once said about Scarlett O'Hara. I remembered these words while looking for a kitten on the internet. Most people who are trying to sell kittens mention in their advertisements what a wonderful mother their cat is. She takes good care of the little ones, never leaves them alone etc etc.

I thought how crazy it was that our society understands very well what makes a good mother when talking of cats and yet encourages young mothers to leave their babies in the care of others and go back to work as soon as possible.

The other thing which folks mentioned in their ads, was that the father was present or known, and you could even see his picture if you wished to. Again, we seem to understand the importance of fathers when it comes to dealing with animals, yet women are told by the liberal society that fathers aren't important when it comes to human children.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.

  1. O, Sanne, what an excellent observation. It hits us right in the face, doesn't it? - this realization of animals being on a higher level than people.

  2. Lessons can be learned from the animal world. It amazes me that people wake their little babies up very early in the morning and drop them off for the day. Then at night they spend an hour or two with them and put them to bed - not much mothering or fathering in this.

  3. Our society teaches people to disregard the deepest instincts, and to be proud of that. Didn't they praise a lady politician who went back to work three days after giving birth?

It seems to me that most people just do not think very clearly. You ladies are or course deligtful exceptions. :)

Most people also seem to understand that a soft dog wont make any good protection dog, no matter how hard you train it. Because of its neurology. But if your child is HSP -well, he/she just have to TRY HARDER.

People just might understand their children better if they actually spent some time with them.

  5. Progressives deny biological differences and the fact that IQ and certain character traits are largely inheritable when it comes to people, because otherwise they'd have to admit that perfect equality between everybody is impossible to achieve. Or, may be, they know it's impossible which means they can keep crusading for it till kingdom come, on the taxpayers' money.

  6. I'd constantly want to be update on new posts on this website, saved to bookmarks!
