The earliest references to King Arthur date back to a time where he was depicted as a successful "dux bellorum" - or warlord.
Mentioned throughout the Welsh mythological book The Mabinogion, King Arthur's sexuality has never knowingly been mentioned in scripture.
It's since been claimed the ruler was included in the timeline because he "wore women's clothing".
What does it make all the women wearing pants then??? Also, how do they know this King Arthur even existed let alone what he wore?

Many online trolls have taken aim at Commander Yvonne Gray who has been in charge of the vessel since 2022 - her first ship command.
Commander Gray, originally from Yorkshire in the UK, moved to New Zealand in 2012 with her wife Sharon after falling in love with the country during a campervan holiday.
The critics accused Commander Gray of being appointed to the role due to her gender and/or sexuality rather than her qualifications.

UK Government VS Spanish Inquisition
This is total historical nonsense. Even if we assume the very worst of it, the Spanish Inquisition was less lethal than children’s bicycles are today. The Inquisition prosecuted 421 people per year for the crime of pretending to be something they were not in order to feign loyalty to the Spanish crown; just last year, the British crown prosecuted 419,000 people in England and Wales alone, many of them for simply expressing their opinion about the migrant invasion of their country.

Under the new legislation, anyone deemed to have been verbally ‘abusive’, in person or online, to a transgender person, including “insulting” them could be hit with a prison sentence of up to seven years.
That instantly led to a flood of bad faith reports, including from conservatives making a mockery of the system and from deranged left-wing activists trying to punish their ideological adversaries.
David Threadgold, Chairman of the Scottish Police Federation, said that the new legislation was being exploited to pursue personal and political vendettas.
“Police Scotland have gone public and said that on every occasion, reports of hate crime will be investigated,” Mr. Threadgold told the BBC. “That creates a situation where we simply cannot cope at the moment.”

Physical Fitness Tests are Sexisss
Holding women up to any kind of standards is discrimination:
A police force has come under fire after scrapping compulsory fitness tests on the grounds they are unfair on women.
British Transport Police said female officers were suffering 'indirect discrimination' from doing a so-called bleep test – in which they have to run up and down a 15-metre track for three minutes 35 seconds – because they were far more likely to fail than men.
Now only new recruits and specialists, including dog handlers and armed officers, are required to pass a fitness test.

Boy Told To Wear A Skirt
A 12-year-old lad was placed in isolation for wearing shorts to school during the sweltering heatwave.
Archie Thompson was told by staff at Fullhurst Community College, in Braunstone, Leicester, he could don a skirt instead.
I can understand his mother's indignation:
"I was outraged at that comment to be honest," she admitted. "He can wear a skirt but he's not allowed to wear shorts.
Yet isn't there a whiff of hypocrisy:
"He's a boy, he doesn't want to wear a skirt...He identifies as a male..."
If skirts/dresses are distinctly female clothes which aren't suitable for boys/males to wear, while pants and shorts are for men, then why most Western women wear them and not dresses?
5 The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
This cross-dressing didn't start in the current year, if you know what I mean. We just decided one day that the rules didn't apply to women the same way they applied to men. Present day progressives just take the equality idea to its logical end...

I Get Up At 6 To Make My Hubby Breakfast

Fat And Ugly
When George Orwell wrote his famous novel 1984, he meant it as a warning and not an instruction manual:
Roald Dahl’s children’s books are being rewritten to remove language deemed offensive by the publisher Puffin.
Among words deemed offensive are "ugly" and "fat" (why am I not surprised?), but also "female" and "men"
Augustus Gloop in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is now described as “enormous”. In The Twits, Mrs Twit is no longer “ugly and beastly” but just “beastly”...
References to “female” characters have disappeared. Miss Trunchbull in Matilda, once a “most formidable female”, is now a “most formidable woman”.
Gender-neutral terms have been added in places – where Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’s Oompa Loompas were “small men”, they are now “small people”. The Cloud-Men in James and the Giant Peach have become Cloud-People.
I'm glad UK has obviously no other problems to deal with, like I don't know, the growing cost of living etc. I keep reading that they soon will turn into another India or Pakistan and at this point I'm like why should I even care? At least, these countries still know the difference between male and female and it's OK to be a man there. The British do it to themselves, too.

UK Officially Joins The Dark Side
Every time when I think that things are bad in my own country (and they are), I only have to look across the channel to realise how lucky I am still:
A pro-life volunteer has been arrested and charged after silently praying outside an abortion facility in Birmingham, U.K.
Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, the director of March for Life UK, was arrested on Dec. 6 and charged on Dec. 15 with four counts of breaking a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO).
A PSPO is intended to stop antisocial behavior. Police were responding to a complaint from a member of the public who believed that Vaughan-Spruce was praying silently.
As part of her bail conditions, restrictions have been placed on her participating in public prayer.
Sharia law at this point would probably be an improvement, they would force you to pay Jizya but I have never heard that they investigate thought crimes.
Vaughan-Spruce was carrying no placards or signs. After her arrest, she was shown pictures of herself quietly standing in the vicinity of the abortion clinic in Kings Norton, Birmingham.
It reminds me a story I heard once of a lady who said she felt attacked by another (Christian) lady for her choices even though the latter didn't so much as say a word. "By the way she looked at me", claimed the lady, "I knew she disagreed!"
She had been spotted near the clinic three times, and when asked about these occasions, she explained that she might have been praying, but she may also have been thinking about other things. Her thoughts, she explained, were all peaceful and not worthy of being criminalized.
Her actual defence was to deny she had been praying (!) and to state that her thoughts were peaceful. Because in England you can now be prosecuted for wrong thoughts, apparently!
There is this discussion about death penalty going on in right-wing circles. Theoretically, I'm all for it. Practically, I'm glad it's been abolished in Europe. Because guess who would get it?

Royals Aren't All That Great
A British historian who wrote a book revealing Lord Mountbatten’s “weakness for underage men” has welcomed the news that a former resident of the Kincora Boy’s Home has waived his anonymity to make allegations of rape and sexual abuse against the earl as part of a civil action lodged in a Belfast court.
Arthur Smyth, who was at Kincora in the 1970s as a child, alleges that he was abused twice in 1977 by Mountbatten, and that other minors from the home were also abused by the earl. He says that the trauma led him to feel suicidal and that he later tried to end his life, ramming his bike into oncoming traffic.
“I am delighted that Arthur Smyth has gone public,” Andrew Lownie, an author and literary agent who has fought a long-running, costly battle to have full access to Mountbatten’s papers, told The Telegraph.
“It further backs up the claims of the two victims I interviewed who were abused in 1977 and confirms that the claims of paedophilia against Mountbatten in the FBI files can be taken seriously,” he said.
He also said that the Gardai should release the logs of Mountbatten’s movements at the time the abuse was alleged to have taken place.
Mountbatten was a great uncle of Britain’s King Charles, and a high-profile member of the British Royal family. Rumours of paedophilia have followed the earl for decades.

Scotland Starts The War On Period Poverty
Boy am I glad the UK left the the EU. Unfortunately, Scotland plans to break off and rejoin. All the while, things are getting so bad over there that women (can we even use this word still) are apparently not able to afford a pack of sanitary pads without government subsidies. I understand inflation and stuff, but here the cheapest products used to cost about 50 cent and are like 1 euro now and you generally need 1 pack a month. Even a family with 4 teenage daughters still living at home could surely afford it?
Luckily, we do have brave female politicians ready to save women from horrible poverty which prevents them from buying tampons:
The Bill was initially brought forward by Labour health spokeswoman Monica Lennon and passed in November 2020, and is intended to eliminate period poverty and help households under financial strain.
It was unanimously approved by MSPs after winning the support of the Scottish Government and the other opposition parties in Holyrood and became law earlier this week.
Now comes the fun part: different regions have to hire "period dignity officers" to distribute free sanitary products and the first officer hired is a man who wants to start an open discussion about periods and menopause. I mean which man wouldn't like it?
Mr Grant told the Dundee Courier: 'I'm absolutely buzzing about it.
'It's definitely pioneering as Scotland is the first to do this.
'It's about making people aware of the availability of period products for anyone of any gender, whenever they need it.
'And it's important whatever we do is done with dignity, so people know that there's no judgement.'

We Survived Heat Apocalypse!
Yeah, that's how supposedly right-wing Zero Hedge called it:) Apparently, it was 40*C somewhere in UK, the first time ever!!!
I guess, it was around 40 by Eindhoven here, too but nobody made quite so much drama about it. Where I live, according to one weather app it was close to 38, the other one said 36-37*C so I don't know whom to believe but my gut tells me to err on a cooler side.
On the other hand, it's no denying the weather patterns are getting more extreme. Is it man-made? I don't really know but considering the path the West and especially the UK is currently on, it could be very well God's way to let them (us) get a taste of the heat of Hell in order to reconsider (and I don't mean "climate sins"" whatever the heck it is).
BTW, to all the Americans in comments on the original article calling Brits wimps for complaining and telling us how hot it is in Arizona - you guys have split systems installed everywhere. I, for instance, only have a portable airco which makes a lot of noise and doesn't cool very well, and many people don't have even that.
We had 32-33*C yesterday and I didn't even put it on. I think it was +26*C in our bedroom last night. Today I only switched it on around 5.30 p.m. to cool the living area a bit to eat dinner and turned it off 2 hours later. I always get a headache and running nose from it so I hate it. The temps are back to 27 again and upstairs where I spent most of today and am sitting now it's closer to 30*C . So yes, I do sympathise with the British plight:)

British banks are cancelling their customers now:
Halifax customers are closing their accounts en masse today after its social media team told them to leave if they don't like their new pronoun badges for staff in what is being branded one of the biggest PR disasters in British business history.
One account holder told MailOnline they have already pulled out investments and savings worth £450,000 while many more said they are closing ISAs, cutting up credit cards or transferring balances to rivals after they accused the bank of 'alienating' them with 'pathetic virtue signalling'.
The row began this week when Halifax, which was propped up by the taxpayer to the tune of £30billion as part of a 2008 bailout, tweeted its 118,000 followers on Tuesday revealing that it would allow staff to display their pronouns on their name badges, in a post that read 'pronouns matter'.
Some pathetic libertarians love talking "muh private companies" though...
It showed a photo of a female staff member's name badge, which featured 'she/her/hers' in brackets under the name Gemma, and said the policy was to help avoid 'accidental misgendering'.
One customer replied: 'There’s no ambiguity about the name “Gemma”. It’s a female person’s name. In other words, it’s pathetic virtue signalling and is seen as such by almost everyone who has responded to the initial tweet. Why are you trying to alienate people?' Within 20 minutes a member of the Halifax social media team, calling himself Andy M, replied: 'If you disagree with our values, you're welcome to close your account'.
Andy M's response has outraged customers, and seen hundreds claiming they will boycott the bank with many saying they have closed their accounts. Others have cut up their credit cards or getting rid of insurance policies and said the threat was the final straw after it cut 27 branches alone in 2022.
They also threaten their customers with police if they are deemed not politically correct enough:
On its website, Halifax say any customers they deem to be 'transphobic' could have their accounts closed.
Underneath a page titled 'what we stand for', they say: 'We stand against discrimination and inappropriate behaviour in all forms, whether racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic or ableist, regardless of whether this happens in our branches, offices, over the phone or online on our social media channels.
'Such action may include account closure or contacting the police if necessary.'
So will they also monitor your social media/internet use now? 1984 was truly prophetic. Also, everyone likes to complain about boomers and stuff, but what about millennials?
On BBC Radio 4 yesterday financial commentator Matthew Lynn warned: 'Companies don't need to aggressively take positions on what are still quite divisive social issues. It probably didn't come from the CEO – it comes from a bunch of millennial 20-somethings running the Twitter feed.
