Why White Nationalism Is Stupid

Yeah, I'm going there:)

Reason n1. Because white is not a nation, it's a race. Outside of the USA people tend to think of themselves in terms of ethnicity first. Like being Dutch, German, French, etc. Identifying themselves by racial categories first and foremost is more of an American thing really.

n2. Especially American WNs have this romantic notion of "white unity". Well, this white unity doesn't exist. One look at European history through the ages is enough to disabuse one of any such illusions, as nations which are practically cousins like the German and the French kept fighting each other for centuries. In fact, imo if European nationalists ever come to power again and kick out all non-whites, they will just go back to hating their "white brothers" from a different country as usual.

n3. "White race is  great! We created civilisation! All non-whites are stupid and barbaric!"

Ever heard of this? The truth is, human civilisation as we know it was born in the Middle East and the Mediterranean, and those folks aren't exactly "white'' the way WNs understand it. This brings me to the next claim

n4. "Whites used to be great! Christianity made them weak! We should all go back to the Viking times!"

Great Pyramid of Giza, built around 2600 BC

File:Great Pyramid of Giza - Pyramid of Khufu.jpg

Viking Long House about 800 A.D.https://skjalden.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/viking-house-longhouse-farm-village-vikingage-vikings-1.jpg

Vikings also used to raid countries like Ireland and sell their white brothers and especially sisters into slavery in the Middle East.

Christianity is what made Whites great. Now that Christianity in Europe is dying, people are reverting to the mean in rapid tempo.

n5. Used a lot on American "conservative" resources: "Europe is full of non-white immigrants! They are dying out!" The truth is that every European country is still considerably whiter that the USA. But Europeans are dying out because they refuse to reproduce, even when bribed by the government money. The most superior race on Earth has yet to figure out replacement fertility.

n6. "Whites are superior to everyone else, it's just that they are heavily brainwashed." Now, I'll be the last to deny that there is a lot of brainwashing going around, that many Western governments are downright malicious and that there are certain "nefarious agents" who are pushing their depopulation agenda very heavily. But what happened to personal responsibility? You can't be superior to everyone else and so easily duped at the same time.

n7 "All crime in White countries is only done by non-whites! White people never ever do anything wrong! Look at this immigrant, e.g!"

What happened is obviously horrible, there is no denying it. But how about this case?

No race has monopoly on evil people. And btw, concerning the 1st case which is used by American conservative outlets yet again to attack Great Britain. This man was not an illegal immigrant, he had French nationality. Individuals with European passports have the right to stay in UK up to 6 months at a time. May be ask France, why did they decide to naturalise him? Also with a name like Kevin he is most definitely not Muslim. But then I noticed that for many American "conservatives" all foreign criminals are always Muslim, and non-whites which identify as Christians are often magically counted as Whites.

Because all Muslims are brown, right? Like this Turkish guy:

https://www.tremglobal.com/uploads/blog/trem-blog-9739.jpg

And Islam doesn't belong in Europe, because Albania and Bosnia are obviously in Africa.

n8 and this will be the last for today. "No country outside White Western Europe ever had a civilisation! White people went everywhere and civilised everyone." Like the Germans in Namibia, for instance...And let's not even talk about the British in India.

To sum it up, every race has good and bad people and has done good and bad things. And it is Christianity which created Western Europe and later the USA and made the Western civilisation great, despite all our drawbacks. That's all for today...

Good Friday

Good Friday is the Friday before Easter and commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Christians call it “good” not because it was painless or pleasant, but because Jesus’ suffering and death accomplished God’s plan of salvation and made forgiveness possible for all who trust in Him.

Pentecost Weekend

Have a blessed Pentecost Weekend everyone!

Pentecost (also called Whit Sunday, Whitsunday or Whitsun) is a Christian holiday which takes place on the 49th day (50th day when inclusive counting is used) after Easter. It commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles of Jesus while they were in Jerusalem celebrating the Feast of Weeks, as described in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1–31).

It's a long weekend over here so we are going away for a couple of days, as usual;)

Feast of the Ascension

Image from Wikipedia

The Feast of the Ascension of Jesus Christ[1] (also called the Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord, Ascension Day, Ascension Thursday, or sometimes Holy Thursday)[2][3] commemorates the Christian belief of the bodily Ascension of Jesus into Heaven. It is one of the ecumenical (shared by multiple denominations) feasts of Christian churches, ranking with the feasts of the Passion and Pentecost.

No, Proverbs 31 Woman Didn't Have A Career

Those who claim it either have malicious intentions or demonstrate utter ignorance of the Ancient world.

Women were pretty much segregated in most of the pre-Christian societies. In Athene, for instance, women from good families weren't expected to leave their homes unless accompanied by a male relative. Poor women leaving their homes by necessity was seen as a problem. Yet, it doesn't mean they were unimportant. It means that they had their own female sphere of influence as described here:

Women were responsible for ensuring that food was prepared, supplies were maintained, and that servants or slaves efficiently carried out their tasks.

In wealthier households, although slaves performed much of the manual labor, the mistress of the house still managed and supervised their work.

As a result, the smooth functioning of the home depended on the woman’s ability to manage resources and labor effectively.

Weaving also held a central place in the daily routine of Athenian women, who were expected to produce clothing and textiles for their household.

Women spent long hours at the loom, weaving garments for their family members, a practice seen as a reflection of their diligence and moral virtue.

Additionally, the production of cloth had economic value, as surplus textiles could be sold or used in trade.

As a result, weaving became one of the few ways in which women directly contributed to the economic stability of their families.

However, despite their confinement to the private sphere, Athenian women influenced public life indirectly through their roles in managing the household and raising future citizens.

By raising sons who would later serve in the Assembly and perform military duties, women contributed to the political future of the city.

That is exactly what the Proverbs 31 passage describes. And btw, speaking about "selling". Most of the trade at this period was natural exchange, money was hardly used. Textiles would often be exchanged for luxury goods.

And now about that field (no, the lady wasn't a real estate agent):

In wealthier families, wives often had additional responsibilities, including overseeing agricultural production and handling the household’s finances.

I doubt those who tell women to get a job outside home because "Proverbs 31 lady did" would really enjoy living in that type of society (as opposed to a feminist caricature of it):

Public spaces, particularly those connected to politics and intellectual life, were reserved for men.

As a result, women rarely appeared in public, except during religious festivals or funerary rites, which allowed them to step briefly outside their prescribed private roles.

By managing your household well and taking wise financial decisions (a penny saved is a penny earned) you are following in the footsteps of the Proverbs 31 lady much better than by mixing with strange men in the modern workplace or even working from home for a different boss than your own husband.

Greeks, Etruscans And Phoenicians

 visited us some time ago:

There are two things I'd like to point out. First, the difference between Southern and Northern Europeans. There was not one woman warrior. And second, Etruscan women were supposedly very feminist. And yet, even they knew better than to run around half naked or to put on men's clothes, unlike many modern born again Christian women;)

Lent Has Begun

 Yesterday was Ash Wednesday.

Do Protestants fast for Lent or is it only for Catholics?

Well, some do. Here is an interesting article on this topic:

This year, March brings the end of Epiphanytide, officially closing out the Christmas cycle. Immediately afterward, the church shifts its eyes to Easter, as it embarks on its 40-day trek toward the cross in the season of Lent. This begins with Ash Wednesday, when we hear the admonition, “you are dust, and to dust you shall return...”

...Christians will find many historic customs associated with this penitential season — especially the threefold disciplines of prayer, almsgiving and fasting.

In Lent, Christians should find ample opportunities to pray, including with other Christians at midweek services. Likewise, heads of households often lead more robust daily prayers with their families during this season.

Almsgiving, or giving that goes above and beyond a Christian’s regular cheerful tithing to the local congregation, is another Lenten custom that curbs the flesh from the love of earthly goods and wealth. By giving money to the needy or finding ways to bless others with their time and talents, Christians train themselves to rely on their Lord for sustenance...

Armistice And Feminism

 Is there a connection?

Yesterday it was Armistice/Veteran's Day (in the USA). We don't celebrate it in my country because we had good sense not to fight.

The main result of "the war to end all wars" was the destruction of the European Christian civilisation, but also the fall of European monarchies, Weimar Republic and the female emancipation, of course. We all know about flappers with their short skirts and short hair, but it really started during the war itself, when women started working in factories (because men left for the front), and driving ambulances under enemy fire to prove a point. There was also that shameful white feather campaign for which the British government rewarded women with the voting rights (still restricted for some time, if I remember correctly).

Well, our men didn't leave, so our women didn't work in those factories and we could keep our traditional way of life a little bit longer. We also didn't sacrifice the whole generation of young men for the imperial ambitions.

Sometimes the only way to win is not to fight.

Usury Is Morally Wrong

A very interesting post on usury by VD:

Now, the history of economics, especially as recounted by Murray Rothbard, is essentially the history of relentlessly challenging the Catholic Church’s ban on usury. And in retrospect, it’s clear that this incoherence is the direct result of centuries of gradually chipping away at the concept through adulteration and expansion of the moral and legal permissibility of usury.

Is It "Their" Fault?

If you are on Gab you know that the front page more often than not consists of memes and slogans, with a couple thought-provoking posts thrown in between. One of the memes spread around today went along the lines that the society is collapsing because "they" made the art ugly (among other things). Now I've seen the variations of this theme going around for ages.

Who are "they" you will ask. Well, it could be anyone. "Deep State", "Special people", "Liberals," "Communists", "Demonrats", "Bankers" and sometimes, "elites" in general.

Here is something I have been thinking about recently. The idea behind this type of posts is always that the elites are doing it on purpose, for some nefarious reasons, which is, possibly, at least, partly true. There is, however, an aspect of the problem which nobody seems to consider. Any society, how progressive and liberal it is in theory, has social classes. In traditional Western class system we have  upper class, middle class and lower class. Upper class are ruling elites, middle class are free property owners and craftsmen, while lower class is rather heterogenic.

Traditionally it would consist out of the descendants of medieval serfs, landless peasants (and in general people too poor to own any kind of property), various vagabonds and antisocial/criminal elements.

European class system has never been very rigid, and there was both upward and downward mobility, however, the upper class still largely consists of those who are called "old blood/money". I read about some Swiss/Italian families which are 1000 years old and all this time have been in top 10% of the income bracket. In UK and Germany there are families who own property such as historical castles for more than a thousand years. Well, you get my point.

Upper class people, whether good or evil, generally have a higher IQ which, together with clannishness and ambition/lust for power is one of the factors which allows them to keep their dominant position in society. It is those people who throughout the centuries have had time to create high culture, works of art, music and literature. Their youngest sons became clergymen and studied theology. They have shaped European culture for more than a thousand years.

It was European nobility who first converted to Christianity, made it the official religion, and sometimes forced it on the peasants, who had kept their old pagan folks-beliefs well into Late Middle Ages. It was upper and upper middle class in Great Britain who created Victorian culture we admire so much.

Lower classes? Well, they did enjoy stuff like gladiator fights, public executions, traveling circus, and fairs where cripples were showing their handicaps for money. In the 19th century, there was an enormous effort by the elites to "enlighten" poor folks and to improve their living conditions. It worked! Even factory workers were reading novels like those of Dickens in Victorian England and visiting opera.

And then, what happened then? Somewhere in the mid-19th century Western elites lost their faith. They put their trust in science and "killed God". Some stayed "Christian in name only", others turned openly atheist. Ironically enough, it was lower middle/lower class who kept to their faith the longest, but now in Europe they chiefly lost it, too. In the USA, many people still identify as Christian, but for far too many of them, their religion is more like belonging to a social/entertainment club. My husband calls it "circus churches".

Once Western elites stopped being Christian they simply lost their ability to create transcendental works of art. The last one of this kind in English language was probably Lord Of The Rings. Recently I read the preface to a Game of Thrones novel which stated that it is more morally complex than LOTR. The very first page I opened had a sentence that ran approximately like this: She f888ed her father. And later "she needs a good f888" Well, that is modern moral complexity on a display right here. I'm fairly certain that Tolkien could not have written it.

Western elites are currently atheistic nihilists (some think they are downright satanic) or (like some American politicians) use religion cynically to appeal to their voters and manipulate them into obeying the government (how many churches have adopted the alphabet agenda?) Elite sons are not choosing careers in the church which is one of the reasons of the theological stagnation and church having lower status in general.

Art and culture produced by these elites naturally reflect their essence. "They" probably aren't even doing it on purpose, to corrupt the masses. They simply can't behave otherwise. Modern art and culture simply reflects their core values, on the one hand, while on the other hand, it appeals to the lowest common denominator because it sells better. You know, the types who used to enjoy gladiator's fights and public hangings.

Until "they" become Christian again, there will be no change for the better.

Even Pagans Practised Debt Forgiveness

 This from VD:

Debt-Cancellation in Ancient Greece

Jesus said debts should be forgiven. So did the ancient Greeks, as Rev. Matt points out...

...Debt enforcement and the refusal to cancel fraudulent debts such as student loans is neither moral nor Christian. Precisely how is it “progress” for a modern society to be observably less moral and less forgiving than ancient pagan societies?

Why I Chiefly Use KJV

This shows how far the West has fallen as a civilization. In many ways, these two quotes tell us more about Western decay than any number of statistical graphs.

Image

That's the way I generally feel about recent Bible translations. A new one appears every few years or so. The language we speak doesn't change entirely so much, but something else probably does. Now what could it be? No way it's  general IQ and education levels, though..:)
