The Real Housewives Of China

What I like about this video is that it feels so authentic;)

  1. Despite the problems here in the US, I'm so glad I don't live like that in a cramped apartment. The food looked good though.

That standard of living is a long way from old communist China.

  2. Well, I don't know that I'd call an apartment of 120m2 for 4 people cramped. (She shows it all in another video). The maintenance of the apartment complex could be better though, but you can see it's an old building. Don't some people live like in trailer parks in your own country?

    1. Yes, there are people who live in trailer parks where there are 'single wide' and 'double wide' trailers that have all the amenities of a small home. Not my first choice for me especially if one lives along the Gulf Coast.

I'd take a trailer probably over an apartment for the privacy.

  3. Yeah, to each his own;)
But there are people in your country who live in apartments, too, like this woman:

who lives together with her husband in a 1 bedroom apartment. I am also a member of a cat group online and there is an American lady who lives in a studio.

There are also Chinese who are wealthy like there are those wealthy UTube housewives with big houses. Not everyone can relate to them, because not everyone is at the same income level. Plus it perpetrates the stereotype that homemaking is only for the wealthy women, which it is not.

    1. Yes, we have apartments all over the place. I did own a house a few years ago but had to let it go while unemployed so it did not sink me financially. I ended up with a bit of extra cash and got it sold before the interest rates went up.
