1940s America

  1. I adore the magazine and advertisement illustrations of the 40s and 50s. They make me happy.

Last I noticed, the Whitman Sampler box of chocolates still comes in the same box with the needlepoint design.

  2. Yes, they do look wholesome. I mean the way people dress and present themselves, not the smoking ads:)

Men also seem much more masculine than modern male models. Not necessarely their faces, but the way they exist.

    Oh, this might amuse you:

I wonder what's wrong with modern feminists. I mean I used to be feminist when I was young and stupid but I never really bought that crap about "patriarchy". I have always thought that 90 % of men are decent and I have alwayds LIKED men. Why do they hate men?

  5. Housewife, that's true, nowadays we have a total role reversal. Look at Trump, he is really doubleplusungood because philanderer but a woman who does the same is "empowered". Used to be vice versa, after all, man's honour is courage, woman's honour is chastity. As for what and who is behind modern feminism, don't care to go into this discussion on my blog.
