Mental Health Industry

What do you think of it? Personally I feel that patologising bad behaviour is one way to excuse it. Like he's not a massive a8888le, he just has a NPD. She is not a stupid 888ch, she is just bipolar. People behave like jerks towards their families and we are supposed to feel sympathy for them because "they just can't help it". I mean if this really is the case they belong in an institution otherwise they'll hurt someone. 

On the other hand, variations in normal healthy behaviour are patologised too. I've been reading some discussions on Jane Austen subreddit and OMG. Some people find a disorder by pretty much every character. Not everything is a mental health condition and needs therapy. Sometimes people are reserved or shy or outgoing or whiny because it's just a part of their inborn personality. 

But reading reddit too much can give one a mental health condition, that's for sure:)))

 We are leaving on vacation this weekend. See you all in 2 weeks time! Comments moderation is on temporarily. I haven't done much with this blog lately, chiefly because I was disgusted with things happening in the world, but I'll write more when I'm back:)

Re: Nukes

 So I finally watched the whole of this.

 I won't say that he definitely convinced me (it's Eric Dubay after all, and we all know his reputation), but...there is one thing which makes you think. If theoretically we accept his premise, than it opens the whole new can of worms because the threat of nuclear annihilation on the one hand, and the promise of protection against it on the other (the whole nuclear umbrella stuff) is very effectively used by certain countries to control the others. Just think through the implications of this and you'll see what I mean.
