Interesting, that France and Russia have least food waste. They still cook from scratch.
I still have hard time believe those number. I mean, I throw food away practically never. Sometimes a fruit can go bad so quickly that it has to be thrown away, but even that is rare because I am very picky when I buy them.
Well, sometimes there are really many bad potatoes and you cannot tell that in advance, if they are still covered in dirt at store, or if you buy them in a bag.
I do sometimes throw food away, because it gets spoiled. I remember when I was a child they would tell me to eat everything on the plate and be thankful because somewhere someone was going hungry. I guess I should try to do better:)
