George Bernard Shaw was a very interesting person.
A progressive who admired Mussolini and a life-long vegetarian who did use animal liver at one point to combat anemia, he was staunchly against vaccines which he called "a peculiarly filthy piece of witchcraft" and took part in campaign against mandatory smallpox vaccination.
In his opinion, people would stop dying from infectious diseases when their nutrition and living conditions improved.
