I am a huge fan of viking and medieval fiestas. It is always nice to see, how much better (and cooler) those LARPing people look like in their "costumes" than peole who are just visiting them, en micro shorts and polyester.
I have actually bought some summer clothes from company selling medieval clothes. They are made of linen or cotton and are very cool and reasonably priced. I would like to encourage all ladies to try that sort of clothing. People react to me so incredibly well when I wear somethin of that sorts. Obviously I try to make it look more normal and less medieval, but I do have one of those leather pouches.
Blanka, clothes normally are worn for modesty and protection from the elements. What is the meaning of modern Western clothes is sometimes a mystery to me:)
This weekend is a long weekend again (Pentecost) so we are planning to visit another Viking festival.
Love the pictures and it looks like a lot of fun. We used to go to Civil War reenactments and it was entertaining and educational. We always said when we left we were going to participate the following year, but never did..lol God bless

I'm afraid there are too many tents and too few Vikings:) I asked my husband to send me a couple of nice pictures and that's what he chose!!!
ReplyDeleteHe all the time says he wants to participate, but never does...
