In the wilderness it's the survival of the fittest:
The mummified remains of Christine Vance, 41, Rebecca 'Becky' Vance, 42, and Rebecca's 14-year-old son, were found earlier this month about 1,000 feet from a campsite in the Gunnison National Forest in Colorado.

At the campsite alongside the bodies were empty food cans, books and a restroom area, Barnes said. The only food found at their shelter was a single package of ramen.
I guess the fish do need a bicycle after all. Pity for her son, he didn't have a chance.
Yeah, one would have to practice this stuff on a regular basis for a number of years to have any real chance. It's been a few years since I've watched 'Naked and Afraid,' but that show should make most people realize where we would be without electricity, potable water, and petroleum products. I finished watching an old BBC program where they live as Tudor farmers and then one where they lived as Victorian farmers. Even with the machinery of the Victorian era, that kind of life was inherently demanding physically.
