It's still allowed over here.

  1. I remember when the Somerset Rebels were pressured into getting rid of the cross of Saint Andrew flag ...

Now I realise I should have bought more Somerset Rebels merch before leaving England, it'd go over very well in Florida. :-)

We used to have semi-regular appearances of a replica of the General Lee from "The Dukes of Hazzard" at auto shows in the area, such as the ones regularly scheduled at Cribbs Causeway.

I mentioned years ago to Vox Day that Rebel's car in his publishing company's "Alt Hero" series should absolutely be the General Lee and not some poxy Ford Mustang, and I'm happy to see that they went with it.

Push back against the nonsense harder and all that.

Fortunately Florida appears to have no plans to get rid of the present-day red saltire on the state flag, but Georgia to the north couldn't hurry that along fast enough.

Nobody's really all that afraid of Georgia Man, but the news is always full of the exploits of the often misled but very brave Florida Man. :-)

  2. What do you have against Ford Mustang?:) Also, if you like what VD does, you should try my books, you'd love them!

  3. Aside from the facts that the Ford Mustang was the slower car in "Bullitt" and that the driver of the Dodge Charger had to slow down in several scenes? :-)

The 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is even faster than a Bullitt. :-)

I like what VD is doing as an editor and a publisher because that's needed, but he must do these things for fantasy and sci-fi because he still loves the genre for what it was.

What I'm seeing is that the genre doesn't love a lot of those writers in an era when sci-fi means Young Adult Technocratic Romance.

Len Deighton and Charles Cumming, that's more my thing.

  4. A fan of vintage movies I see. Personally I find Mach 1 more beautiful.

If you like spy stuff, my 1st book is practically James Bond in space and the main character is kinda sorta British:) The 2nd one has a more Central European flare to it.
