Hot, Hot, Hot

We are currently experiencing a heat wave combined with drought. It's not pleasant, and the worst is yet to come...

So in the light of this I can't concentrate and write anything decent though I had a couple of ideas in mind when I came back.

Instead, I'd like to draw your attention to a couple of posts by a fellow blogger:

one about housework in difficult times,
the other about the consequences of promiscuity.

If you have any thoughts or ideas, feel free to share!

  1. Sorry to hear about your drought. We are at the other end of the spectrum. We've had such a wet summer the grass hasn't had a chance to go dormant and grown. This is our first complete summer in Minnesota so we weren't sure what to expect, but I'm enjoyed the rain and the cooler weather. Wish I could send some your way.

  2. We've had hot summers before, but drought...Mostly it's the other way around! The grass all burned by the sun, the trees are shedding their leaves. They do promise rain for Saturday, but with two very hot days in between!

  3. That little bit of rain will make no difference if it is going to continue to not rain for weeks on end. I for sure am going to be doing the rain dance on Saturday. It is like as warm the amazone and the sahara desert over here in the Netherlands. Lady F

Same here, awful weather. But at least very many ladies wear skirts and dresses. That makes me glad. Everybody looks so pretty in their summer dresses. Why, oh why don't we dress like that always?
